Hi guys, I have two Seagate 250gb 7200.10 drives on my pc and ive noticed that one of them has been takeing longer then the other to copy files, extract files, and generally runs slower then the other. This started happening about a month ago and I ignored it at first but its been getting quite annoying when I try to defragment the drive I leave it defragmenting for 10 hours and it doesnt finish while the other drive defragments in 20 min or less

So I ran some test on both drives today using HD Tach and these are the results I got from both drives

This is my main drive (the good one)

and this is the one thats going painfully slow

Isn't it obvious to you? Something is radically wrong with the second drive. Check if it is still under warranty and RMA it soon.

thanks, wanted a second opinion on it before i RMA it :P

I think I might go back to Western Digital, Seagate quality seems to be going downhill
