Not sure if this is what you're asking for, but if you run msconfig, the last tab has a list of all the programs run upon startup...

Startup Cop, by PC Magazine, is a pretty good utility for seeing everything in terms of programs, that Windows is going to load at startup. It also lets you selectively disable, and remove, the ones you don't want.

I have a control panel applet, it lets you disable or add any entries for the startup stuff. I'll send it if you want ?

At any time you can go to your start menu, accessories, system tools, system information. In this window click on the plus at "software enviornment" then click on "running task". This tells you what is running at the present time.
