You can make use of google. There are lots of tutorials available on how to use dreamweaver. There are text and even video tutorials that will guide you in a step by step basis.

Here is the best place to start and is a excellent reference.

You are asking about Java script and .css additions to a normal web page there as a minimum.
DW is OK in a way, but there is still a lot one has to learn.

i used namowebeditor in combination with webspaces own webbuilders and netscape navigator(is this the right name?) netscapes webbuilder.
my biggest nightmare is now to move my geocities-sites to a new location. i have at least found a free service(no ads-we will see it its true) in germany/austria, forum included. train has just given me an english site which has a webbuilder incl.
so things were not working as wanted when using the a.m. combinations. but they were minor.

Since I use a ftp program, I just download everything from the first site to a folder on my hdd. Then upload it to the new site.

that is very soothing. old paths will certainly be remmed (REM in front) and new ones created. better doing than endlessly asking. it can also go wrong...

Why not just set up a blog? http://www.wordpress.com has built in polls and stuff, and you have a working site up and running in minutes.
