When ever I try to play Direct3D games, after a while in the game, it keeps putting me back to my desktop, just like that....
I've Installed the latest Video Drivers and DirectX 6.1...
What could be wrong here...???
Please Help??

I have:
K6-2 380Mhz
Asus P5A MB
ATI Xpert@play 8MB AGP
128MB PC100 SDRAM

You must be overclocking.

Is it all D3D games or just some ?

It may be worth checking out the publishers websites for updates / patches...

You may have a problem between the AGP card and you AMD CPU ( more to do with socket seven than CPU.

If you feel brave, try getting the latest BIOS flash upgrade from your MoBo manufacturer, and upgrade your version.

This solved a number of strange graphics related problems for me ( AMD K6-2 400Mhz, Matsonic mobo and CL Riva TNT AGP ), but it's a bit drastic, and you should only do it if you feel confident enough.( sorry, dont know your level of experience ).

Hope it helps

Your problem is probably DX6.1, after I installed it my whole system went to ****, So I did a reinstall and only have 6.0 now and no problems.
