First of all "Thanks" to everyone for all of the really helpful information on my computer. Now I just want to ask a couple of puzzling questions? I ran setup with my Windows 95 upgrade cd to try & replace whatever was missing on my mplayer. It said to keep some of the files because they were newer than what I was trying to copy. So I did. Does running setup load everything over what's already there? Or does it give you a second copy of what you are trying to replace? I only copied a few things; I didn't copy the whole thing over. I just wanted to replace the media player & a few other things. Does this load my hard drive down? I don't need 2 copies of these?
And is it safe to compress the c: drive to get more hard drive space? I am just wondering; I read in my manual that this helped to create extra space if you need it. Please help! Thanks for any help you guys can give; I truly appreciate it!!!!!
OH I almost forgot; why can't my computer run a full version of windows 95 if I completely format & only load up Win95? It is kinda confusing; it looks like it would run it. But it freezes up. I had to reload it with Win. 3.1 & then with the Win95 upgrade. It just looks like it would take up more space to run those 2 together than just Win95? Just wondering? Thanks!!!
