SCSI card IRQ problem: please help

I have just installed a SCSI card and it doesnt work. In the device manager I get the message that the IRQ is already being used by another device and needs to be changed.
However, when I go to the resources tab it says there are no conflicting devices and will not let me change the IRQ number.

You do know you have to uncheck "Use automatic settings" tab before being able to change irq?

Yes I do. It tells me that "this device cannot be modified" http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
