hi i have an msi mobo with serial ata 1 and 2 im using a raptor hd with serial ata1 do you think i would see a performance gain by using the serial ata 2 adapter?

the raptor is serial ata1

No. SATAII has higher theoretical bandwidth, but that will not help for a single drive.
