system conf. utility

went to system conf. utility to remove unwanted app form startup...unchecked them and rebooted and they keep coming back!!!!!!!!how can i get them out of start up?.........thanks

The best way is to look thru the programs preferances or options and find the setting that disables them at start-up, also they must be removed from
start/programs/start up
This will keep out the sneaky ones.
I think I can guess one, Real-player right?
options/preferences/general"tab"/startcenter
If you have problems finding the options on the rest list the offenders here.

LoadPowerProfile always loads twice according to my msconfig, as does LoadBlackD (BlackICE).

What is loading twice on yours, jammer?
