I am trying to put together an Athlon 500 MHz computer and I have a
Biostar M7MKA Motherboard. My problem concerns installing the heat sink
support frame. The Biostar instruction manual shows two retention clips
(Which were not send with the board I received) which go on the
underside of the motherboard to secure the support frame.
However, it also appears that the support frame in the kit may just need
to be pushed firmly through the holes in the motherboard before snapping
into place (no screws available). The question is: Is this how it is
supposed to be done? The posts on the frame appear to be too large to
fit into the board and I can't get them through no matter how hard I
push. Am I missing something? Were retention clips supposed to be
included in the kit?
