Hi All!

I have a question here. I was using ISpeed for tweaking my modem, since I had to temporarily go back to it from cable modem surfing (Big Ugghh!) But anyway, I saw where it was recommended to re-set to win98 default, and then remove ISpeed. That win98 had dynamic mtu sizing-resizing. And that the only variables that were really necessary to "tweak" were DefaultRcvWindow (even multiple of MSS) (Mss being MTU - 40)and TTL. That win98 would dynamically set the MTU and consequently the MSS.

Any input on this. I'd appreciate any help I can get here, as I recently found out that in fact, I don not know everything (Much To My Dismay!)

Thanks in advance to all...

Hey Mike; I set mine to "Optimal" and let it rip. My ISP usually connects at about 50,000
bps and seems to do great for Winmodem. I figure it's better to leave the manual config
and testing alone before do something wrong.
Try it ,It can't hurt anything. I'm sure that it is a compromise between the best and the worst without having to fool around with settings. Last time I thought I knew what I
was doing, I had to format my Hdd. Good Luck
