I have a TeleS 16.3 card (not PnP). It's an ISA board, bought a couple of years ago. When I first inserted the board, Win98 didn't autodetect it even after running the "Add new hardware" wizard, so I installed it manually, using the driver on the driver CD that came with the card (Have disk option). The card was then assigned to irq 5, and IO 180. Windows then proceeded to install some drivers, and an "ISDN monitor" appeared on the taskbar saying everything was in order.
However, the installer tried to install something called a "Miniport driver". However , Win98 said that this driver couldn't be used, since it was intended to be used with Win95. Therefore, I had to skip that driver. I don't know what it's supposed to do, anyway. Also, I wasn't able to install a "Suite" program from the installer CD, due to the same reason.

OK. Com 3 and Com 4 showed up. Com 3 had attached to it many modems like "Teles modem", "Teles Fax Modem", "Teles V120 Modem" and so on. When I hit "Diagnose" the modems where all detected correctly.

The system tab showed that the ISDN card was installed and working properly. No conflicts or anything.

The thing on the taskbar allowed me to test the hardware, set correct switch type and so on. The hardware test was successful, but I can't get the card to establish a "test connection" to my cellular or stationary phone. I just get error 34ff, of course not described in the manual. Needless to say, I can't connect to the internet either, even though all DNS addresses are set properly.

The "Internet connection wizard" works as it should I guess, but the "ISDN wizard" does NOT. It says that it cant find any installed ISDN equipment (or something).

I tried to search for updated drivers at teles.com, but the driver site seems to be a german bulletin board or something that I cant access. Great.

This was a lot of info. Anyone have any ideas? If you need more info to be of assistance, please respond also. Thanks!
