c'mon guys! This is too much! Did anyone actually see the Mets blow it last night? Was that a game or what?

I hate (HATE) the braves. I really thought that the Mets would get this one (at least that one last night!) Mora barely made it into the big leagues, but you can bet your bottom dollar he'll be playing 100+ games for SOMEONE next year... The guy's got a soid bat and a good arm with instincts in the field. I just wish Piazza had an arm like that to catch a few runners at second base. I know, I know, he got that 2-run homer last night, but he also let Nixon steal 2nd base, and ultimately tie the game a play or two later.

And Kenny Rogers KENNY ROGERS - "Hey buddy, just throw the guy a d*mned strike, huh!?!?!? All you had to do was throw it over the plate - I mean really! Walk twp guys intentionally, then walk in the winning run! C'mon! Did Teddy T. offer you a free year's cable service, or what.

I know, I know, that's it
bye

The braves are by far a better matchup than new york/new york....sure you have that whole 'subway series" ****, but that would get old quick...specifically, in 4 games when the yankees sweep. This way we all get to enjoy some real games. And dont you wanna see what real new yorkers do to john rocker?

scary.

You know Chip, I think that was the best part of the game last night, to see John Rocker get beat up. I hate him! He looks like he's smoking crack cocaine every time he comes out to the mound. Did you see the looks on his face when they started hitting him? That was sooo cool! I loved it.

One thing I couldn't believe was the way they hit John Smoltz. He's the only pitcher for the Braves that I like.

Late in the game, the big problem was (besides Piazza's arm) they kept on swinging at the first pitch. I thought Dunston would come through, but NOOOOO let's swing at the first pitch and pop it up to 3rd.

But one thing did come out of all this, Mora for the Mets got to show his stuff. If NY doesn't keep him after that performance, I know he'll be in the starting lineup for someone in 2000!

Hope you've all enjoyed the baseball 99 season as much as I have, (especially the rest of you (us) Cleveland fans!) We had a great year, we just fell asleep and no-one woke us up for the playoffs - Except Jim Thome! - huh!

Let's just hope the yankees make it 37!

Good Luck In All...

Ya'll can kiss my grits! Why is everyone down on the Braves! I mean, back in the mid 80's the Dodgers had the same kind of team.Outstanding pitching and very good defense, and everyone "loved the Dodgers"!Is it because you Yankee lovers can't stand to have a Southern team do so well for so long?.....Well, on to the "World Series", I think it's going to be a good one.....DawgTuff.

the braves deserve to be there and they definitely deserve more than their one ring this decade, especially since they did without andres galaraga ths year. anyways with this series there are two major markets involved instead of the whole NY vs NY thing. but looks like the braves staff might be a little tired so yanks in six.

Okay then, did any of you see the playoffs? Remember Chipper's comments about the Mets? He said that after they were through with the mets, the new york fans would have to go home and put on their yankees stuff! Then he proceeded to play probably the worst series I've ever seen him play. Though he did come out of it byt the skin of his teeth on a few plays, he did make some errors, and even fell on his nose at the mound.

Then John ROCKer said "how many times do you have to beat a team before their fans shut up!" He wasn't saying that last night, was he? Nope!

Oh, by the way, do any of you think Kenny Rogers will be pitching for the Mets next year? Hmmm. Not quite a perfect game, huh?

Oh well, like someone said above, we should have a good series this year, But unless the Brave's oitching staff takes their vitamins, I think the Yank's are comin'

Take care

All I have to say is...Where are the Mets and where have the Braves been every year? I guess I should clarify that I have been a Braves fan since Dale Murphy was their only shining hope (I am fairly young otherwise it would be longer). The Braves deserve to win with all of the adversity they have been through. Losing 2 stars and 2 of their closers. The only team hurt more by injuries was Houston. It's good to see the team in my backyard whip up on some NYers. now they get another chance! OOOOOOooooOOooOOOoo.......

Remind me never to invite anybody over to watch a Brave's game at my house. I live near Atlanta, so I'm a definite Brave's fan. I'm just ticked at them right now. The Mets should have been beat in game 5, but we Atlanta fans deserve that loss with the sorry excuse rookie pitcher that Cox just had to put on the mound in the 15th!

Yea we deserved the loss of game 4 to, did you see that one that was just EASY 2 runs by the mets, Braves just gave it to em, I cant believe he actually stole 3rd! When they knew he would go for 2nd in the first place.
