Hi I would like to ask if drinking red wine everyday (usually before bed time) bad? I don't drink alcoholic beverage and never tried consuming even a bottle or a glass of any alcoholic beverage. Until now, my first and last consumption of alcoholic beverage which was red wine was last year and it was only less than a glass.
Last week I took 1/4 glass of red wine sometimes 1/3 for five days straight (I was thinking it was little amount). I'm not yet sure but the difference I felt was that I can sleep faster and better than before (although I am not sure if it is because of the wine).
So is drinking that amount of wine everyday bad? I don't like the taste of wine but the feeling of taking something good (according to health benefits of red wine that I read and heard) makes it taste better, although I prefer to take the de-alcoholized wine as it taste like grape juice.
You need to drink more than that.

It's only beneficial if you take it with all the oat bran, fiber, caffeine, anti-oxidants and all the other stuff "experts" have said is good for us.
Look at the big picture: Everything non-poisonous is good for us in moderation. All the experts are doing is taking each part one at a time and discovering now what most common-sensical people already know because they listened to their mom. The way I see it, the experts are pretty stupid because they throw out all accumulated human knowledge and are re-inventing the wheel - and it's exactly the same shape it always was.
Get a fresh start for the New Year and stop listening to experts. You'll live longer - just ask your mom.

Depends on how much you drink. Studies have shown that a glass or two of red wine with dinner ( any alcohol at bedtime isn't good for the sleep pattern ) is good for the heart and has loads of antioxidants as well. Moderation is the key here. ;)
