Logitech's drivers for their PS/2 wheel mouse work fine, but diagnostic programs show the amount of overhead is huge. Does anyone know of a generic 3 or 4-button mouse driver that works with a Logitech wheel mouse and doesn't take up so many resources (and still operate the scrolling wheel)?

You can use one of Windows resident drivers which is called
Logitech/First Pilot Mouse+ PS/2 (S48,C48)
Windows will tell you that the driver isn't correct, but it works for me.

The driver mentioned didn't show up on my W95 OSR2 CD. On W98?

Yep, it's WIN98.
You might have to go on using the drivers you have with WIN95 just to have the scroll unless some one else has another option.

I use Win98 with this mouse. I bought it OEM and used the generic Microsoft PS/2 until I got the Log. driver. It worked for some time too.
