I have just finished upgrading to IE7 (after being nagged and nagged by MS) and now when I boot up I get a security warning about some of the older software that I have set up to run automatically. I get the message that software doesn't have a proper digital signiture and do I want to run it. I would like to have this run automatically (as if did previously) without having to approve it every single time. Is there a location or setting that I can list these programs to avoid the warning message?

What are the names of some of the softwares that are doing this?

Why does IE7 nag you about software starting up? IE7 is a web browser. It does NOT check for digital signatures of software.
I think you have yourself (and us) confused about what exactly is your problem.

The program is an old security program that I bought about 8-10 years ago...back when I used win95. I have it setup to start automatically during log on. All I know is after the IE7 update, I get a question that the software isn't recognized and do I want to allow it to run. And I don't know if there is a way to tag this program so that windows won't question it.

My personal opinion and one that would be seconded here
by many, is that if a security program is that old, it needs to
be replaced by something much more up to date. Especially
since in your case, it was designed for WIN95 and not for
WIN2000 or XP or Vista .. Time to get something newer.
What is the name of the program ? ? ?

Or go back to running Win95......Bad idea.

I believe the Publisher's certification revocation was disabled by default in older versions of IE, but IE7 enables it during the upgrade. If your old program doesn't have an updated digital signature then IE7 will give you this warning. You can turn off the certificate revocation in IE7 properties under the Advanced Tab>Security. But, this disables the security check globally. I wouldn't recommend it. You will have to update the certification for your old program or the program itself, otherwise just ignore the warning. FWIW, any security program as old as W95 is unlikely to meet today's standards , besides that any OS older than XP is not longer supported with updated security patches. You haven't mentioned what program or OS your running, so we have to wonder if your saddling a dead horse.
