lost CD Drive

Hello Techies

I am using WINXP professional

Since recently when I right click on a file and go to send, my CD drive is not there. I used to do this to write to my CDs.

The drive shows up in my computer, and Nero finds it and burns to its, just not listed in my right click menu.

Any idea how I can get it back?

Seems like you posted this in the wrong forum.

As per the missing Right Click option to send to CD/DVD RW...
probably it was uninstalled from the add/remove program.

There should have been a windows update called something like "CD/DVD writer plug-in update whatever..." forgot the exact name, since i remove it all the time.

Thanks train, the link started me off and finally sent me to a link that made me change a registry setting and it worked. Back to normal now.
