After video install I can't hear modem dialing

I installed a Voodoo3 2000 PCI. Now I can't hear my modem when it's dialing. Any thoughts?

Is it dialing out ok and conecting ?

Might bee that the volume is off in modem properties.

My computer/Dial up/right klick on your connection and choose properties/konfigure modem/

Theres my volume slider anyway. hope it helps

Yeah it dials out fine and the speaker volume is on. Weird huh?

Have you checked for any sort of conflict between the modem and vid card? Is the modem internal or external? Does the dial-out sound go through your soundcard or just the modem speaker?

Check for any conflicts first.

Isn't it better without the dialing sound and the connecting sound? Cause it vexes me when I try going online every time.
