Windows 98 and 2000!

What is the different between the Windows 98 and Windows 2000? I would be very grateful, if any of you could sent me some useful information.

I and a few others did some testing of some software programs on 2000 Professional as I'm sure some of you have. If anyone is interested, let me know and I point you to that page that has that info on it.

Just one comment, Win2K sucks.

I run NT at work since it came out and I despise the pale program structure. It is a business program. If I wanted some wimpy system I'd get 3.1 and save the almighty RAM. If 2000 is akin to NT, NOT ME. I was told that NT stood for "New Technology" and that its true origin was a Linux knockoff or some other open source code program.. I love 98 even if I do get a blue screen every once in a while. I have DOS 6.22, win3.1, 5.0b, NT, 98 & 98se. All the other garbage sits on the shelf, maybe one day I'll find some sucker to take them and the junk they are installed on.. whew,, I feel better. DH

User005...I would have to say you obviously do not know either how to setup Win2K or dont need a "business" OS. I have Win2K and I can honestly say it ROCKS as a very stable OS and supports all of my business apps and then even most of my games http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I have seen that out of your some 19 posts I have seen several that were bashing Win2K WITHOUT reason...I'm sorry you were not happy with it....But that is why there are MANY OS's out there...Glad to hear you like Win98 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Win2000 is the replacement for NT 4.0

Win Millenium will be the replacement for Win98
