For a while I was running a system with a voodoo 3 (pci), sb live, network card, modem, and tv card and NT I removed the sblive and voodoo 3 (pci) to put in a different computer. In that one they work fine. But when i try to put my voodoo back in my old computer, it has a conflict with the on board sound card. Currently it only has the voodoo 3, network card, modem, tv card, and onboard sound and onboard video. When I boot now, I get a message that "The device could not allocate one or more required resources due to conflicts with other devices. The device interrupt setting of '9' could not be satisified due to a conflict with Driver 'cwbaudio \Device\MidiOut0'. " It would be great if someone could clear this up for me.

Can you go into the Motherboroards bios and checkout the PlugnPlay section to see if you can assign another irq for your sound, preferably irq5 works best since it is the most common one used on SB compatable cards. You can also set some IRQ's up in the OS like try to change in the resource settings for the Multimedia device's(Onboard sound card)IRQ there to 5 and not 9, typically 9,11 are fair game for the video card http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

hope this gives you something to go check.

Thanks a lot man, I actually did exactly that ... earlier I somehow thought that i could do it through NT. But I went to the bios and set it to a different irq, and it works fine now.
