Windows Update won't load ?

On this Compac that I've recently loaded IE 5.0, it now won't go to Windows Update page. The system says error on the bottom left of the page the freezes. Have been there before and it said scripts error, now it won't load but about 1/3rd of the page.. Have to ctl+alt+del to get out. If this don't quit, I'm gonna install netscape and trash the IE. Have several running ie5.0 without major problems, thanks Richard

Do you have ActiveX, Java, JavaScript, cookies and active scripting enabled? MS sites love low security settings...

I got it to work, not too sure what it took. One thing was to load dun1.3 and some other stuff from MS download page.. will try to rembember the tips you gave. thanks Richard
