I built two identical computers with 550 (OC Celery) ABIT BE 2
The problem is when the award bios boots. It says it can't find my keyboard. When I plug the keyboard in, the num lock, caps, and scroll blink, so I know it's getting power. I tried different video cards, different keyboards, checked all the jumpers, and pulled all the other cards out too. I think I've tried everything. Is there any hope or do I have to return the mobo? PLEASE HELP!
Email is preffered...Thanks! for anything.

Are you using the correct ps2 port? I had a bh6 I almost returned until I reread the manual.

This may seen stupid but do you have your hard drives plagged in right?
When I installed my BE6-II I had the plug in the drive backwards and it wouldn't recognize my keyboard. Drove my crazy for hours until I noticed my mistake. Ahhh, the little things we miss.

I have three keyboards. They all are PS/2. I've tried all three and they all give me the same error. It's an award bios by the way if I didn't mention that. This computer is brand new. The hard drive hasn't even been fdisked yet because when I turn it on, it says: keyboard not found, keyboard error. The keyboard is completely dead, yet when I plug it in, the lights blink showing that there is power. I reset the cmos so it would be at default. Maybe I should run to walmart, and pick up a usb keyboard to see if it will let me into my bios. AHH!! I did finally switch my ide for my hard drive to the ide 1. Now it picks up my hard drive and no keyboard error. Problem is, the keyboard still doesn't work! My keybaords are Microsoft internet pro, Logitech, and generic. Thanks for any more help

I've taken the liberty of copying and pasting the contents of your other thread here.
I'm going to ask this question again from a previous post.
I have a brand new clone. When I turn it on, it says keyboard not found, keyboard error. When I plug the keyboard in, the lights flash so I know it's getting power. I've tried three different keyboards by different manufacturers. Well, I found that my ata 66 cable had a hole in it, so I used the regular ide and hooked it up to ide 1. Now it finds the hard drive, doesn't show the keyboard error, but still it won't work. I reset my cmos, I pulled everything out (modem, nic, sound), and still nothing. I've tried everything people have been suggesting. Cables are plugged in to the right areas. Any help??
This probably has not much to do with your keyboard problem, but regarding that hole in your ATA66 cable, see this thread

I've hooked both computers up the same way. The only difference is that one is using a IBM hard drive and the other is using a Western Digital. I checked the cables and you can only hook them up one way because of the little plastic piece on the ide cable. I know it's in the right port. They are even color coded...can't get that wrong. Any other suggestions???

You didn't mention what type of keyboard you have, and that might make a difference!
How do you have your bios setup?
Specifically, look at two bios settings.
1) Keyboard Support via: Here you can choose either OS or BIOS. If you have a USB keyboard, the BIOS option will allow you to use a USB keyboard under the MS-DOS environment but you won't need a driver to make it work.
2) KBC Input Clock Select: This item allows you to change the keyboard clock if you are having problems with the default setting (slow typing response, etc.) or have a failure altogether.
When your puter boots up, press and hold the Insert key to allow you access to the bios, and then take a look at the settings to see.

Try a different or new keyboard and see if it works. Could be a bad keyboard.
