(but very expen$ive!) mushi 01-17-2000, 12:32 AM I was wondering if anyone knew what speed Micron PC100 ram can run at, because i'm either considering which type of ram to buy. If anyone can help.... thanks. JimG 01-17-2000, 12:38 AM Micron PC100 ram operates at 100 MHz. Your processor's front side bus should be the same as the speed of the ram you are buying. Target 01-17-2000, 12:41 AM Well, if its PC100, then its rated to run at 100Mhz. However, its very likely that it will run faster than that. How much faster is sort of a guessing game. Like most components, they vary slightly from unit to unit. Yours might run fine at 133Mhz, while someone else's might only make it to 124Mhz (or vice versa). Micron typically makes pretty good RAM, so your chances of getting it to run faster than 100Mhz is pretty high. Though you didn't say, I assumed you were asking about it running faster than its rating. If you were thinking of running it at 66, 75, or 83Mhz, (slower than its rated) it will not be a problem.
