I have changed my camera wires usb socket..... & the comp doesn't seem to of reassigned stuff ..... Is there a manual way to do this or should I just shove the disky in again ?

right click "my computer" go to manage, under disk management look for your silly camera(should show as a removable hard drive) assign it a NONUSED drive letter....now if this isn't what you meant, then I have no GD idea what the hell you're talking about.

Nahh the comp don't go "Bing Bong" when I plug it in ...... Just stays silent :(

can you see it under "disk management" if not then you got either a bad cable, bad port on the camera or a bad port on the pc, try a different cable if possible................... )-|

Tiz a fingi ........ Fuji cable wiv a camera dock on one end & a usb plug on the other ....... When I find the disk I'll whack it in & see if Vista can do owt wiv it :)

can't you skip the camera dock and just go from the cable to the camera??? :confused:

All ya do is connect the camera to the USB port on the computer. Ya also have to have the camera power turned ON. If ya have XP or Vista the computer installs it/activates it automatically. That's how my wife uses our Finepix. There's no dock to interfere with sanity.

Or do what I did, buy a $15 card reader and install it in the computer. Darn sight easier than anything else.

dude, if windows isn't detecting the device at all, the software ain't going to do you much good..unless we're talking British technology here, which would be the complete opposite of how that kinda stuff works here.... :p

(I'm installing a new central heating system soon..... Better get my thinking head on) All instructions in German..... Lotsa circuit boards to plug in, sensors all over the gaff (Got to address each one) Ya'd think it would be easy ..... Plumbers ain't the brightest of pplz @ the best of times.... Anyways this one ain't, best part of $4K worf of kit too :eek:
