Hey fingers! I downloaded the new version of the Soundblaster live at sblive.com(the file is sbl9xdrv1199.zip)after disabling SBLIVE in Windows. I ran the program sbl9xdrv1199.zip and it cured the problem. The driver that came on the disk was written earlier in the year. The new driver was written to conform with the new intel and amd cpu's later and distributed in November 99. My system is running beautifully and the card definately was worth installing. Good Luck, its aproximately 5.3mb download and took alittle while.
