I'm looking at buying a refurbished notebook. It has good specs, enough memory, hdd. The only drawback it has Vista Basic and since I'm using only for mobility, email, wireless, music and reports. Can I go back to XP even though it comes installed with Vista Basic.

I read somewhere that this can be done, but wasn't sure.

Gracias

You could try installing XP, but the problem would be finding XP drivers.

Hmmm, that could be interesting? Here are the specs for the notebook. So I think it would mean finding if there's a driver for the video card & finding out what dvd burner it is??

Thanks

Video and chipset drivers, actually. I'd look for applicable drivers first, before doing anything else.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to do that first. Before I actually do anything after I get the notebook!

Thanks
