I need a tip and advice from everyone before I buy this processor I am looking at...

I tried to document and give as much info as I could with links to help...
The board itself here that I have already purchased and have in hand has a label by the processor that reads "Prescott"

as follows:

Will this processor listed below work with the motherboard in this combination:

2.8ghz socket 478 Northwood 800mhz processor/P4VMA-M Biostar Motherboard

(see details and links if you would please)

I'm confused a little bit because one of the Biostar site links
shows that the motherboard will work with 400/533/800 FSB processors

but the CPU compatibilty chart fails to list 400Mhz FSB

can you guys help me clarify this please?

am I better off with this processor and what memory would I have to have?

Thanks for the patience in advance...

all help is appreciated in awesome terms

if it's a socket 478 and supports prescotts/800, then it will take northwood 800fsb cpus.

i wouldn't have gotten any celeron, prescott or not. oh well. little too late now.
