Britney's performance can be described in two words: Hot mess. I can't say I was surprised -- I didn't expect her to rock it -- except that I was. It sucked that much.
Where were her people, the ones who made sure she knew the words to her own stupid songs well enough to lip-sync them? Where was her personal trainer? Her stylist? Didn't they at least give the girl a mirror in her dressing room? Couldn't she figure out that she could hardly walk, let alone dance in those boots?.
Never mind that the song itself sounded like a (bad) 90s club anthem. The poor thing wobbled through her moves while looking sad and a bit confused in her chosen "outfit" -- a glittery bra and panty set. The over all effect was that of an out-of-shape hooker with an inner ear infection.
Britney, sweetie.
It's okay that you no longer have the abs of a 17-year-old Spartan boy, but why draw attention to it? Why not opt for a nice, short, empire-cut dress and boots with lower heels?
