Does anyone have any suggestions on a AM2 motherboard that has a AGP slot ? I know there arent that many, but I have a decent AGP graphics card that I would like to keep using. AMD over Intel if possible, but not a necessity. thx.

Abit boards are far and away my favorite, although I've had some Socket 370 Biostars years ago and they were pretty dependable. I know almost nothing about MSI, maybe someone else can fill you in on them. Good luck. ;)

I have and am using both Biostar and MSI motherboards. Have had very good results with both. The MSI board is now about 5yrs old and still very stable and reliable. My currant machine is a Biostar socket 939.
Then again the only 2 boards I'd ever had trouble with was a socket 7 PCChips and a socket A EPox.
Best of luck!

MSI is what I use and recommend.
Whatever you do and wherever you buy - avoid:
Jetway
PC Chips
ECS
These aren't the bottom of the barrel; they'd have to improve greatly to achieve that status. Their failure rates are obscene.

I have heard good things about the ASRock 939 Dual Sata or Dual VSTA boards with the AM2 conversion board.

Welcome to SysOpt! :t
And woah! This could possibly help me too. I was gonna drop 150+ for a 3700+ 754 AMD, because that's the fastest processor I can get, and don't want to go PCI-E because I JUST bought a 7800 GS AGP for 55 bucks, lol.
