Is there any way to install a game and play it without having to insert the cd all the time?

If you can get a no-CD crack, yes.

However, we do not talk of such things here.

There is a way to do it without having to switch out CD's all the time. Its a program called Game Jackal. Its a legal program so I don't believe I'm breaking any rules. But just in case I'll give the link and stop talking.

What you do it put the CD in creates a small file and you use it as an icon when you want to play.

This is a little different topic concerning games. But is it me, but I feel like I am trouble running games on Vista Premium? It got the point that it was frustrating that uninstalled the Vista and went back to Media Center.

I found out that a lot of my programs weren't running on Vista, but games too? Is this just a bug, or will Microsoft continue this trend?

Thanks :t

I guess if 99% of the gaming comunity uses cracks.. then we should all go to jail??

At times ... I feel like some sort of idiot for even reading this.. get real... !!!

You can also look for something called a "mini image" of the game in question. I believe it is something similar to how Game Jackal works...basically you download the mini image, mount it to a virtual drive, and go on your merry way.

I've used Game Jackal before and it works good, although i don't use it now at the moment. Most games will work with this ,but some will not due to copyright protections they put on some game disks..
Making a mini image copy is a good idea,as that way nothing else is needed, and you can use it just like the original for loading the game etc... ,and you will have a copy in storage LOL

Yeah - gamers and new buyers using Vista are having alot of problems and more experienced guys simply reinstall XP, etc. But dropping in on this thread won't get you help - please start another in Apps and Operating systems - and be prepared to give us specific games and apps, and the problems you're having ok?
