OK guys, Comcast is feeding me a line of barnyard material again. Now I'm told that they Detect spam coming from you or that the IP you gave me for them to unblock is not the one you send the emails from. I'm really fed up with this manure. Can you help? If you need, I have a phone number that you can call and talk to somebody, probably has oatmeal or worse for brains, but if it'll get them to send my bloody emails, I'd appreciate it. Just let me know if you want the phone number. Thanks.

So you quit receiving email again I take it?

It was sporadic at best even when I was getting it. In fact, I just discovered that there was a PM to me 2 weeks ago, and I never got the notice. So yes, it's still being a PIA.

On a side note, I just filed a formal complaint with the FTC against comcast about this issue. ;)

If any email service filtered my email at ALL, before I saw it, I would drop them like a bad habit. Spam filters are a necessity, yes, but let ME control em. Let me decide what is and isn't spam, don't do it for me.

I'd love to tell comcast where to insert every inch of their cable. however, they are the ONLY cable provider in the city, so I'm stuck for now. I did however file a formal complaint with the FTC against them. ;)

OK, I guess I'll have to call and do some screaming. Problem is that they want the IP of the sender, can I get it from you?

what I find most ironic about this, is that of all US-based cable ISPs, we get the most spam from IPs registered to Comcast. I have e-mailed them no less than 10 times about it, and I've yet to receive a single reply

OK, I called the oatmeal brained fools and talked to them. The guy said he would unblock 3 of the IP's you gave me because they were showing as blocked. I was almost exited at the prospect of this. However, the damned fool said that they would end up blocked again more than likely because something in your emails triggers the spam filter. I told him that it wasn't spam and to leave it unblocked. He couldn't do that, in fact, he said I should have you contact them to see what triggers the spam filters. I said you had tried to contact them but never got a response, he says that's impossible. I informed him where he could insert every inch of his cable and have now discontinued using the email service from them. I'm looking into other cable providers (their tv service isn't all that hot either, not to mention the phone, sheesh )

So, Joe, thanks for all your help and patience, but I'm done with them, they suck, plain and simple. I did however file a complaint with the FTC! ;) about them. You've been more than helpful. Thanks again.

Sorry it came to that. I did try to email them several times, at their abuse email.

Any wagers that their abuse email is spam-filtered?
