I have fdisked and reformated this drive and I am getting a windows protection error when I boot. What happens after I reformat I install win95 and as it boots to read the configuration of my pc it comes back with a win f-ing protection error please restart your computer as if you can't tell I am getting a little frustrated with it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif No I don't want win98 or anything else I would like to get this 1 working.
TIA,

Try removing any\all expansion cards,, except video of course, or make sure all are seated correctly, then run setup again

Ok geez I feel like a rookie. Haven't had too much luck with some of these. I had taken out the nic b4 with the same results but after I took it out and reinstalled win95 it is at least getting me to the rest of the install. GD what a f-ing mess.
Thanks!

BIOS...disable any ref to Plug and Play, and take the lan card out as well.

Hmm...I had trouble with this on my puter..I upgraded to win98 after formatting about 10 times...I tried to fix it without removing my partitions but in the end I lost everything on the harddrive...I would suggest removing the entire op system...might even use a dif op system to set up with ...then switch back. I dont know if this will help or not...just some thoughts inspired by my frustrations

there is no ref. about pnp in the Bios. Not sure if the expansion slots are not configured right. i.e. drivers not loading. or what. This is an old Dell pc. So you know what I have to deal with here. I will try and put the nic in another slot and see. Thanks,\\BC

nope don't have virus protection in the bios. It was an old 133 that they had put a superchip in. And the bios was set to 133.
