i know that there is a file called faultlog.txt that holds all the entries for general protection fault errors, but is there a similar one for fatal exceptions and other blue screens of death, and if so what is it(they) called?

if your running win98 go to the start, run type in drwatson.exe if you get any kind of error it will take a snap shot and log it
it tell's you every thing you would ever want to know about it like what, when, where and almost why http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif it's a 30 page log lol http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

That would be notes.rip in C:\Program files\Notes It's a text file and I think it has to be enabled somewhere but I can't remember where at the moment.

you load drwatson when your start your system and let it run in the back ground it's very small and uses very little resourses you wont even know it's there it adds a Icon to the task bar double click on it and it opens up and takes a screen shot of your system and reports any errors it finds it will also do it automaticly if any errors acure http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif and saves them to a log
it's a tool you can use if your system is really messing up it was designed so that you can send the log to the big boys lol http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif and have them figure it out for you like they would or could LMAO lol http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif but that all said it is one of the best tools microsoft has ever add to windows and it's is in all versions of windows but the one in 98 is the best http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
for more info just go to the help files and serch for drwatson theres a whole file about it there http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
