Just this afternoon i was playing on my favorite CSS server and since then i've been away from my computer... Just a short time ago, i tried to connect up to both of my favorites and even tried misc.others to check it out and i am getting:

error 'unable to verify steam user ticket' Geeze louise.. I just played on this yesterday afternoon. I have not run any programs that might have corrupted it or anything else.... maybe this kind of stuff just happens.., but i'm clueless as to why this is happening.

If this doesnt work soon again,i may re-install Steam. that may not be the right thing to do.. Steam says i'm ok and the game connects right up... actually twice as fast as usual to boot.

Others are playig on servers so i know steam is not down for update or repair.

Any advice here would help Thks! ;)

try this let me know if it doesn't work,

If you’ve ever played Counterstrike CS or you might have gotten the error error verifying steam user id ticket. It basically means that the server couldn’t authenticate you with the steam authentication servers to make sure you’re using a legit version of the game. It could be that Steam is down, but more likely it is a transient glitch. Here are some tips to solve:

* Restart steam. Close the stream from the tray, and run your game again.
* Log out of steam, then log back in. Try your game again.
* Close steam. Go Program Files then find ClientRegistry.blob in your steam directory and delete it. Restart steam.
* Close steam. Then update your system clock and start up steam again.

let me know Rabbit

CC.., i just uninstalled and re-installed 'Steam' That did the trick...

Can'tthink of why this happened.. I think its just a quirk.. or bug.. I reported it to 'Steam', but you know them. I will never ever hear about it i'm sure...

I think possilby the new firewall program i DL'ed yesterday might have done something .. When it first happened, the FW kept asking if this was safe several times before it let me connect up...

Thks for the reply and info buddie.. LOL
