Help...my monitor's viewable screen size is slowly shrinking. It's an old 15" color monitor (5-6 yrs.old) but until about 3 months ago, it was fine. Now the view is really getting smaller...probably has about an inch of black space all the way around. Is it my video card? Or just an old monitor and time to replace?

Try putting that monitor on another PC or borrow another monitor and put it on your system. If it does the same thing when you put it on another computer, then it's the monitor. If you install another monitor on your PC and it does it, it's probably the video card.

Make sure none of the pins are missing or bent too.
