Please Help!!!! Athalon Problems!!!!

Well I decided to get the Asus K7M!!! Thanks to you guys for helping me decide in the other forum!!!

But!!!

I tried to install Win 98 and I get a few wierd errors like truetype font errors or SWIN (I think thats it?) isent working??
Then after I start the istall process over about 5 times I get to were it wil reboot and then I get some more errors (go figure!!!) And then ultimitly I can't get into windows!!

I am using a Altec Lansing 300w power supply and just the core of materials like a True 52 cd player, 15G Maxtor hard drive, 128M ram stick, Voodoo 3 2000 (AGP), and all of this is on a Asus K7M mobo with a 500Mhz Athalon chip!!!

What's the deal???
What am I doing wrong???

p.s. I am having problems similar to Pure Gold down the page a little!!!!!

Thanks for the help!!!

I found out that the slot that the ram stick was in was the issue!!

Out of frustration I started moving the ram stick around and put it in the one to the left and windows installed without a hitch!!!

I had no idea that something like that could have been causing the problems that I had!!
