I recently purchased two "Ultra DDR MEMORY 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz". The question is : Why is the 400MHz only being read as 200MHz in Everest? The RAM works perfectly, but I was just asking myself if it was really performing at its fullest...

Also, you should know I'm running on an A8V Deluxe MOBO.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Please take a look at the snapshot I took.

It is working at 400 MHz. 200 MHz for each half of the RAM cycle, that is why it is called DDR (double data rate).

Not quite. "PC3200" or "DDR400" actually operates at 200 MHz, but produces two bits of output in every clock cycle. The correct denomination is "200 MHz DDR". The marketing folks felt this is easier explained by saying "400 MHz" and then went straight to "400 MHz DDR" which is clearly not the case.

Phil, your stuff is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Now go live happily everafter ;)
