Hey all,
I have an old (1997) Packard Bell keyboard that has this weird problem - when the D key is pressed, only one other key may be pressed at the same time! Normally, I can have five keys pressed at the same time, but with the D key I can only get two presses. This is really odd, as an even older (1993) packard bell keyboard I have can have five keys depressed including the D key. So why don't I use the old one, you ask? Its so **** noisy! Argh! So, does anyone have any info for me? Thanks in advance,

-Matt

P.S. - oh yeah, the reason I need so many keys depressed is gaming, as for movement I use the keys:

Hey brown007,
You could flip the keyboard upside down (Unplugged of course) and remove the backing plate and clean the keyboard pcb. I did this to mine at work and it works like new now. (Too many coffee spills I guess)
Other than this, you can pick up a nice, new, quiet keyboard for probably less than $20. (I'm not sure if the plug is the same for PacBell's or not, though)
Good luck,

Well first I whacked it around alot, then tried cleaning it like you said Chainsaw, but no go...so I broke out my trusty ol hammar...still no go. So I decided that Im gonna screw PS/2 and go to the future...to USB*! USB keyboard, here I come!

P.S. - Oh yeah, for the record, Im not using a Pac Bell guys! Pac Bell is E-V-I-L! (Huff Huff Rant Rant!) Im on a homebuilt PIII 500e comp...which I will overclock as soon as the **** case fans get here! Harrrrr!
