THANX..

im using win95a (non osr2)..shldnt the pcmcia be configurable with win95a?? the referred to compaq site gives drivers for compaq pcmcia modems (which i dont have) and driver for win95 osr2...

need to be abale to use pcmcia slot (a) under win95a and (b) for a non compaq 56K (V90) pcmcia modemcard.

someone said there is a file called "socket services" which is what i need-but i cant find this???

I'm not sure A version supports PCMCIA cards. Look in control panel for socket services or PCMCIA settings.

Let us know if you have anything like that in there.
