I've heard many horror stories about modemand win2kpro. My URS winmodem is completely useless there, but many non-winmodem-type modems also had a lot of prolbem with w2k. If you have been using a modem under w2k, please tell me brand/model.
Thanks a lot.
Using diamond supraexpress internal with no probs under build 2195. I did have a little trouble getting it set up because of IRQ conflicts, but once it was set up correctly, it worked great. Connects at 200bps faster than it ever did in win98se.

Is your diamond supraexpress ISA or PCI?
I heard a lot of trouble with PCI, but ISA seems fine.

External USR Faxmodem 56K. No problems.
ISA, most (not all) pci modems are winmodems.
I replaced a pci usr winmodem with the diamond supra express and never looked back. It has worked great for me under any os win95/98/2000/nt and RH Linux.
