When I boot up or reboot my system crashes on the win98 "splash screen"
I have to reboot sometime 2x and then all my setting for video are wrong.
I'm using a Dimond Viper Card and have reloaded the drivers twice. I also have changes monitors to see if that would help.

You need to go in in Safe Mode and uninstall the cards software/drivers from within Add/Remove Programs.
Also, from within Advance Display settings you need to set your adapter to Standard VGA and your monitor to Standard SVGA 800x600.
Then reboot and once again go into Safe Mode, checking to make sure it's still in Standard VGA. Then reboot and finally go into Normal mode.
Hope you are able to reinstall sucessfully from this point. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
If you had a previous card in the system, make sure those drivers/programs are uninstalled also.

This a new card or have you had it working a while?
