when my puter is booting up it says
Boot from ATAPI CDROM:Failure.
It also says that my CONFIG.SYS is missing or corrupted on line two. How can I fix it.
Thanks

Your bios must be set to boot from the CD-Rom
change the boot sequence to
A drive first, then C drive (A-C).
Then see if you can boot.

You can find config.sys in the root directory of the hard drive ( from Windows the easy way to open it is to type "SYSEDIT" from the run line and it will be one of the open windows )

Copy all that is in the file and paste it in a reply to this posting...we can then analyze it here.

Dave H. is probably right about the boot sequence thing, changing that in BIOS setup should cure that problem.

As for the config.sys error, doing what BBA says is probably best - but in the meantime.. you could use SYSEDIT to remove the offending line -Not having yet seen your congfig.sys file; all I can say is that if everything seems to be functioning otherwise, you can probably just remove the offending line.

Sissyprissy,
What happens after you get the error messages? I thought by reading your post the first time you were stuck there. Did you get into windows after the cd-rom boot failure?
(Did it boot to C drive and load windows)

BTW post what version of windows you are running too.
