For recording professional Music CD'S I need a SCSI CD Rom Brenner, PC 450pentium,128MB, Soundboard 32bits.
Do I need to consider anything else before I buy it. e.g. do I need a SCSI HDrive or can I use a slave IDE HD ? USB ? What's better.
It must be able to record without any mistakes. Re. profie singer!

What is a RADE array ?

an IDE would work fine. Many suggest installing as secondary master. All that
speed, power and ram is not necessary. Stay with a major brand drive. Mitsumi, HP, Teac, Samsung, etc. You can buy many excellent CD burners for under $200. Check the reviews on this site. All burners come with software,
Adaptec Easy CD creator is very popular.

The only problem with home burners is that you are forced to use the dyed CD-Rs. I also suggest a few music software titles from [URL=www.sonicfoundry.com]Sonic Foundry[URL]. They have some of the best software for mixing, recording, sampling, or pretty much anything else you could possibly need.

-Adaptec EasyCD 4 is good for copying audio CDs.
-SonicFoundry music products are probably a must.
-Get the Plextor CD-R/RWs as a home "burner". These CD burners are the best for audio.
-The use of ultra2 SCSI harddrive is preferred. Or better still is the use of two of these drives in a RAID array and booting from a third drive with only the OS on it from a seperate controller. This way you will insure the elimination of any audio anomalies resulting from the drive sub-system.
-Purchase Mitsui CD-Rs or the Ricoh Platinums.
-Windows NT may be the better OS for this purpose.
