I have a voodoo3500 and a s3 triov64+ and I read about using a secondary monitor so I decide as I have 2 monitors and 2 graphics cards I would install the 2nd monitor. everything went fine and the triov64 installed o.k , win98se successfully initialized the v3500 as triov was default however when I went to display options the v3500 wasn't there and I could use 2 monitors, the v3500 couldn't use the memory as the triov was using it , win98se suggested I should remove emm386 , so I did but it didn't help. SO I have tried windows help , but have you guys got any help for me?

I tried a voodoo banshee with a s3 card one time I could get it to work but it was a pain kept having to reboot to get the banshee to work and as the secoundary it would not work as the master
I dont think the S3 and voodoo cards are compatable in a dual set up http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
I now have a voodoo3 2000 agp and a ATI rage pro pci and they work gr8 no problems I can make ether one master with no problem it boots right up every time and save's every thing works GR8 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I never liked S3 cards anyway lol http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif try picking up anything else but a S3 or another voodoo you can not use 2 voodoo cards like this, the drivers get screwed as all voodoo cards use the same INF file's

I've been planning to set up multi monitors, haven't done it yet but here's a couple of links I found while researching. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

If money is no object and you decide to get really serious about multiple monitors or putting your stuff up on a TV, then try the following -

Comminications Specialties - ScanDo signal converter - pipe your monitor signal into the ScanDo - and then pipe the ScanDo out through an S-Video feed to a TV - your sound will come right out of the sound card on the PC -

If you want multiple monitors attached, I recommend an AUTOPATCH matrix switching device to split the video and audio signal out from there.

I support several such systems and have as many as 30 TV's running off one PC output. We use it for messaging and critical updates.

scotter - yeah, sounds like a great way to go. Only reason I've been hesitating is that it means going to W98 on my box, which I've got running JUST RIGHT with '95b. And I've had... problems with '98 on other machines!

Working on setting up a separate HD with '98se. (I used HD racks to swap) If & when it runs to my satisfaction I'll set up the hardware.
