noisy floppy drive

i have a dell dimension 8200..winxp sp2. as soon as pc boots the floppy drive blinks [and lights] and makes a noise like if i was inserting a floppy disc.
-i have kapersky internet security,and this scan all object at starup,,but after like 1 hour this starts again,,everytime it lasts like 4 seconds..
what could be the problem..?

sounds like kaspersky is scanning the floppy drive. deselect it.

If you saved a document to a floppy recently, try opening it and saving it to your hard drive.

ok i tried deselecting scanning "all removable drives"..
