Telix modem

Hi!
I just went and bought myself a Telix 1456VQE modem. Anyone knows where to get firmware updates for this modem?
I cant find a manufacturer homepage, and it keeps disconnecting just like my old Dynalink modem did before it got upgraded. Btw this modem looks almost exactly like my old Dynalink 1456 VQE is it the same modem?? can i use the dynalink upgrade file??

First, what problem are you having? Disconnecting at random? I seem to remember (back when I used modems http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) having a problem of being disconnected from my ISP within about 5-10 of connection. What solved the problem was to turn off "error correction".

For me this wasn't a problem with the modem per se, because when I switched ISP's I found I counld then turn error correction back on.
