Right...If you use the original install software, then reinstall with the 3.0 you will get the new drivers and still have DOS support. Just don't uninstall the original first, let Liveware 3.0 do it for you.

Dos games are awesome. Still play ARKANOID - original TAITO (Hack), Boulder Dash, DOnkey Kong (all hacks) as well as QUAKE III and NFS IV.

Did anybody figure out how to run old dos games on SB live? After installing the LIVEWARE 3.0 I get a message saying that DOS drivers are not loading (when Autoexec is executing).

The install prog that comes with the Live! card has a checkbox in it to install DOS drivers in your autoexec. Maybe you left it unchecked? If not, Liveware 3.0 doesnt support DOS programs in the update, I believe.

DOS games "suck"? How's that? These games run free and clear of the WinXX shell. They were just too inconvenient to install, setup IRQs,DMAs,etc. You ever play Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior,Redneck Rampage, or even DOOM? (*sigh*, the good ol days) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

...along with EF2000, Railroad Tycoon (the original), Steel Panthers, etc etc http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
A lot of these classic games are available for less that $10 - these low-req games were a Godsend for someone who had nothing but a P75 until August '99
