Ok, so I know the power of bots, and their ability to find just about anything that you don't want them to know about you... but what about if "they" start doing things like applying to med-school...
See I recently came across a friend of mine who moved from one side of the country to the other, just got a green-card, and a new address/phone/etc. All of this was purposely left off any forms & paperwork so that all mail would have to go through the parental units...
Then one day, a call, with semi-correct name, correct address, correct phone, other private details, etc. When confronted, they provided dates, times, bogus email, and semi-correct name under which the info was requested. According to them this information could only be entered by hand because they prevent scripted submission.
One week later, and for about the past 3 weeks, there has been more and more calls with more and more serious intent attached to each of them. They all provide the same bogus email & physical address & phone number... some of them even say that they received an email from my friend requesting information.
So in the case that my friend's identity IS really stolen, what does one do about that kind of thing?
