After merging four partitions in to one the drive only reports be the size of the original C: partition which is 1.99G. The other partitions were changed to file folders. This is an HP system running W95a.
The partitions were merged then converted to FAT. Any suggestions? I seem to have followed all the steps but I'm at a loss for why the old partitions are gone without the appropriate gain in the overall drive size.

I think I might have just figured it out. Deletion of partitions was needed and not merging. . .?

Hmmm. . .

you will now have to convert the C drive's partition to FAT32 (you have to be using Win95B or win98,win98se) to use Fat32 partitions. once you have converted the drive to fat32 you will beable to enlarge it and have it use the space that you created when you deleted the other partitions. (fat16 will only allow up to 2.0 gigs!)

I was afraid of that. So Part Magic can merge the partitions but W95a will still only recognize the 2G boundry?

So much for that idea.

So now I gotta go back and re-part the drive to the five parts it was originally.
