Greetings!

This question may have been answered before. However, I have always received good suggestions at SysOpt.

I need to develop a web-site. My dilemma is that should I hire a professional company to develop the web-site or do it my self. I have 3-4 weeks to get it going. I know it will be hosted by a web-hosting company (will research web hosting companies as well)

Here are my criteria for web-site

1. It will be informational website with pictures and few different sections.
2. Two kind of clients will fill their information online.
3. Information submitted will be stored in two different databases.
4. Will need 3-4 persons to log on and send emails to clients.

Please give me your suggestions and recommended links. I have time and will buy softwares as needed. I am leaning towards developing my self since I will need to update it (Last time I developed a web-site and worked on MS Access was 1994, however I am good with softwares)

Thanks

I would recommend either Drupal or Joomla for a Content Management System. Are you planning on having forums too?

As for a design company recommendation, I honestly can't really say. My company is swamped right now so we just can't take another job right now unfortunatly.

I do have web hosting available as well. I have both linux or windows based services, as well as reseller accounts and Virtual Dedicated Servers. All of my servers are on a large H-Sphere cluster, which means that each web site is actually being run from about 5 servers simaltaniously. The advantage to this setup is speed and reliability. All of my hosting comes standard with 30-Day Backups as well. If you want some more information just shoot me a PM.

Good luck!
