I have a Geforce 6800XT, and a really old game I play wants to run at low FPS and makes a huge difference for some reason, I used to have my vertical sync disabled on my old video card, but I can't seem to find anyway to disable it on this card. Anyone know any manual ways to do it?

you just need to go into the driver properties. what driver version are you using? nvidia changed their control panel with newer versions.

vsync is supposed to prevent tearing, so you usually want to have it on.

vsync is in the performance and quality settings

Well mine when I go to that tab it only gives me the option to go to the NVIDIA Control Panel

Which looks like video1 here

and in the performance and quality settings in that it looks like the video2

you're supposed to choose the "classic" user interface. go to view- classic nvidia control panel

oh I got it now! Actually swtching to classic view didn't work for some reason, Ithink it should have, but I was able to switch to advanced view and that worked. Thanks!
